Part D

Part D is a prescription drug plan for people with Medicare. It covers most of the cost of your prescriptions, including brand-name and generic drugs.

You can get help paying for your prescription drugs if you qualify for Extra Help or you’re enrolled in a Medicare Advantage Plan that has an integrated prescription drug plan.

If you need prescription drug coverage, selecting a Part D plan when you become eligible is often a good idea. Give us a call to see how we can help you find the best plan and save money on your medications.

If you have Medicare Part A and or Part B (also called Original Medicare), you can add a Part D prescription drug plan to your existing coverage.

You must already have Part A and or Part B to qualify for Medicare Advantage.

Is Part D right for me?

Part D Penalty is the price you pay for not enrolling in a Medicare Part D plan. If you’re eligible for Medicare and don’t enroll, you’ll have to pay what’s called a Part D penalty, or late enrollment penalty, every month that you don’t have credible prescription drug coverage.

The penalty amount is 1% of the national average premium for all Part D plans for each month that an individual remains out of compliance with the requirement to enroll in a qualifying prescription drug plan.

Part D plans vary and can have different formularies and costs. This is where we see most seniors making a mistake, but using our service we have saved seniors thousands of dollars by shopping their Part D with us!

Some people with limited resources and income also may be able to get Extra Help. This Extra Help will help pay for the costs, such as monthly premiums, annual deductibles, and prescription copayments. To schedule an appointment or to apply for Extra Help over the phone, contact Social Security at 1-800-772-1213 (TTY 1-800-325-0778) or online at Ssa.gov

"We will find out if you qualify for any government subsidies and help you understand how much money you'll save by enrolling to a plan that's right for you!
