Part D
Part D is a prescription drug plan for Medicare beneficiaries that helps cover most of the cost of prescription medications, including both brand-name and generic drugs. If you qualify for Extra Help or are enrolled in a Medicare Advantage Plan that includes drug coverage, you may receive additional assistance with your prescription costs.
Choosing a Part D plan when you first become eligible is a smart move if you need prescription drug coverage. Contact us to explore your options and find a plan that can help you save money on your medications.
To add a Part D prescription drug plan to your existing coverage, you must already be enrolled in Medicare Part A and/or Part B. Additionally, you must have Part A and/or Part B to qualify for a Medicare Advantage Plan.

The Part D penalty is an additional cost imposed if you fail to enroll in a Medicare Part D plan when you are eligible. This late enrollment penalty is applied monthly and is calculated as 1% of the national average premium for all Part D plans for each month you were eligible but did not have credible prescription drug coverage.
Part D plans vary widely in terms of formularies and costs, which can lead to costly mistakes for many seniors. By using our service, we have helped seniors save thousands of dollars by comparing and selecting the best Part D plans available.
If you have limited income and resources, you might qualify for Extra Help, which can assist with costs such as monthly premiums, annual deductibles, and prescription copayments. To apply for Extra Help or schedule an appointment, contact Social Security at 1-800-772-1213 (TTY 1-800-325-0778) or visit their website at Ssa.gov.
